In response to the crisis, VOX party representatives across numerous municipalities—including Maracena, La Zubia, Ogíjares, Armilla, Churriana de la Vega, Cúllar Vega, Alhendín, Otura, Gójar, and Las Gabias—have filed motions requesting aid from the Junta de Andalucía, the Provincial Council of Granada, and the Spanish Government. These motions propose extraordinary exemptions from the Property Tax (IBI) and a 95% reduction in the Tax on Constructions, Installations, and Works (ICIO). On September 24, the Regional Government of Andalusia announced an 8 million euro aid package to assist with the rehabilitation of homes and community buildings damaged by the seismic activity. This plan may include 50% advances to property owners before repairs begin to mitigate high community fees and may cover professional fees for property administrators.
