Granada hosts literature and heritage festivals

Granada is hosting several cultural initiatives focused on literature and heritage. The second edition of Letra de Naturaleza will take place from September 7 to 13, featuring literary, botanical, geological, and historical routes across various city spaces, including Sacromonte and Albayzín. The program, themed ‘Eco-crítica en los márgenes’, aims to connect literature with sustainability and territorial identity as part of the city’s candidacy for European Capital of Culture 2031.

Additionally, the Centro Andaluz de las Letras, in collaboration with the Ateneo de Granada and the local City Council, is launching a new edition of the Poesía en el Jardín cycle. This series will feature poetic readings combined with live music in the city’s heritage sites. The cycle begins with Valencian poet Angels Gregori at the Cuarto Real de Santo Domingo, part of a month-long program dedicated to celebrating the diverse literary traditions and contemporary voices of Spain.
