Granada launches international campaign to restore image after earthquakes

The Granada Global Agency has launched a national and international campaign to reinforce the image of Granada following a series of earthquakes recorded in mid-August. The initiative aims to convey a message of “security, normality, and efficacy,” positioning the region as a stable destination for living, studying, investing, and organizing events.

The campaign was announced following a meeting between the Mayor of Granada, Marifrán Carazo; the President of the Provincial Council, Francis Rodríguez; the Rector of the University of Granada, Pedro Mercado; and the President of the Chamber of Commerce of Granada, Gerardo Cuerva.

With an initial budget of 300,000 euros provided by Granada Global, the strategy will utilize communication, public relations, and influence to highlight the city's strengths in science, innovation, and culture. One of the central pillars of the effort will be supporting Granada’s candidacy for the 2031 European Capital of Culture.
