Grand Stade Hassan II construction advances in Morocco

Construction is advancing on Morocco’s Grand Stade Hassan II in Benslimane Province, a massive project intended to serve as a primary venue for the 2030 FIFA World Cup. Once finished, the stadium is expected to be the largest football stadium in Africa, with a planned capacity of approximately 115,000 spectators.

The structure features a three-tier seating design: a lower tier for 22,500 fans, a middle tier for 40,000 to 42,000 people, and an upper tier to complete the capacity. The stadium’s design includes a distinctive roof inspired by traditional Moroccan moussem festival tents. The site, located near Casablanca, currently utilizes multiple work zones, thousands of workers, and several concrete plants to manage the scale of the construction.
