Grand Termal workers protest unpaid wages in Yalova

Approximately 110 workers at the Grand Termal Yalova Resort Hotel & SPA in the Termal district of Yalova are continuing protests to demand unpaid wages and legal entitlements. Following the cessation of the hotel's operations, the workers were laid off and claim they have not received their salaries or other labor rights for several months.

The All Hotel and Tourism Workers Union (OTIS) stated that the outstanding claims include salaries, severance pay, notice pay, unused annual leave, and overtime wages. Workers have expressed that they are not seeking charity, but rather the compensation for their labor.

In addition to financial claims, the union raised allegations regarding poor working conditions, including inadequate safety measures and substandard dining conditions. Furthermore, workers alleged that the hotel employed foreign nationals without proper work permits and minors, calling for relevant authorities to investigate these claims.
