Grand Theft Auto 6 fans identify real-world inspiration for protagonist apartment

Fans of Grand Theft Auto 6 have used digital investigation techniques to identify the real-world inspiration for the protagonists Jason and Lucia’s apartment in Vice City. Following the release of a gameplay trailer by Rockstar Games, users began analyzing environmental details to locate the virtual setting.

By utilizing Google Maps, an investigator identified a teal-colored building that matched descriptions in the trailer. While current Street View imagery shows only an empty field at the location, historical satellite data from April 2013 reveals the Belmar Condominium. This structure shares numerous characteristics with the in-game apartment, including its salmon color, perimeter fencing, surrounding buildings, and the specific parking layout used in the gameplay sequence.

Although Rockstar Games has not officially confirmed the building as a source of inspiration, the visual similarities between the Belmar Condominium and the game's setting are extensive.
