Granollers emergency services intensify search for missing 12-year-old boy

Emergency services have intensified the search for Rami, a 12-year-old boy with autism who disappeared in Granollers, Spain, on Sunday, October 4. The search operation involves approximately 470 people, including specialized units from the Mossos d’Esquadra, Bombers de la Generalitat, local police, and various volunteers.

The search is currently concentrated in an agro-forestry area southeast of the urban center, specifically between the railway tracks and the Ciutat de Granollers hotel, where the boy was last seen. Specialized teams are utilizing drones, canine search and rescue units, and underwater units to assist in the operation.

Rami is described as being approximately 1.73 meters tall, with a robust build, dark skin, and short curly hair. At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing a turquoise t-shirt, orange sports shorts, and Crocs. Authorities noted that the boy may be disoriented and have communication difficulties due to his autism. While the disappearance coincided with heavy rains and flooding in the Vallès Oriental region, emergency services have not initially established a direct link between the weather events and his disappearance.
