Graphic arts exhibitions held in Chile
Various graphic arts and printmaking exhibitions are being held across Chile, highlighting regional traditions and international collaborations.
In San Pedro de Atacama, artist Eduardo Breems has opened “Impresiones de la fe: Reinterpretaciones desde la técnica serigráfica” at the Fundación Minera Escondida Art Gallery. The exhibition uses silkscreen techniques to reinterpret popular religious devotions in northern Chile, transforming photographic records of dances and processions into layered graphic works. The project was a winner of the 2026 Visual Arts Call by Fundación Minera Escondida, Escondida | BHP, and Fundación Cultural Dibujona.
In the Ñuble region, the second international version of the Month of Printmaking is underway. An exhibition at the Violeta Parra Gallery in the Chillán Municipal Theater features 34 works by 22 artists from Chile, Argentina, Brazil, and Uruguay. Curated by José Agustín Córdova, the initiative celebrates the 10th anniversary of the theater and aims to strengthen artistic ties with Argentina.
Additionally, the International Museum of Graphics in Chillán is hosting the international exhibition “SUR: Cordillera y después.” Curated by Argentine artist Susana Groisman, the show includes creators from Chile and Argentina, as well as members of the Biobío Engravers Association, marking three decades of the museum’s work in graphic arts conservation.
