GRAVITEO Urban Sports Festival adds duathlon at Barcelona‑Catalunya circuit

The GRAVITEO Urban Sports Festival will run from 17 to 19 July at the Circuit de Barcelona‑Catalunya, turning the famous motor‑racing venue into a hub for urban sport. On Saturday 18 July a one‑off duathlon will be held, starting at 19:30. The race combines a cycling loop behind the safety car and four laps of the circuit, followed by a 5‑km run on service roads.

The event is free to attend but participants must register in advance. Open to anyone aged 16 or older (with parental consent for minors), the competition is limited to 200 individual entrants. Registrations are accepted through the official GRAVITEO website and the Catalan Triathlon Federation. The format includes mandatory helmet removal and a transition area where athletes swap bicycles for running shoes.

The festival also features climbing, skateboarding, roller‑freestyle, scooter and Nordic walking, alongside music, food and other public activities, offering a broad urban‑sports experience beyond the duathlon.
