GRAVITEO Urban Sports Festival Brings 700 Athletes to Barcelona

The GRAVITEO Urban Sports Festival will take place at the Circuit de Barcelona‑Catalunya from July 17 to 19. Eight official competitions are scheduled, including the European Boulder Championship, a World Climbing Europe Series speed event, the Spanish Skateboarding Championships (Street and Vert), the Spanish Roller Freestyle Championships (Street and Vert) and the Spanish Scooter Street Championship.

The event is expected to attract 15 national teams and more than 700 athletes. Olympic climber Leslie Romero described GRAVITEO as "an incredible opportunity" for climbing and skate, while fellow Spanish climber Carla Martínez said it will help prepare for the upcoming European Championships. Catalonia’s sports councilor Berni Álvarez promised an invitation to the next MotoGP Grand Prix for any podium finish. Other notable participants include skate‑boarding world‑cup competitor Naia Laso and roller‑freestyle rider Carla Martín, who highlighted the festival’s visibility for less‑known disciplines.
