Graviteo Urban Sports Festival launches at Barcelona-Catalunya circuit

The Circuit de Barcelona‑Catalunya will host the inaugural Graviteo Urban Sports Festival from 17 to 19 July. Organized by Prensa Ibérica and the Generalitat de Catalunya, the three‑day event aims to become Spain’s largest gathering of urban and alternative sports.

The programme features eight official competitions, including the European Bouldering Championship (World Climbing Europe Series), Spanish championships in skateboarding (street and vert), roller freestyle, scooter street, and a Nordic walking cup. Popular activities such as speed skating, running, duathlon, 3x3 basketball, pickleball and hybrid strength‑endurance circuits are also planned. More than 700 athletes across 15 national teams are expected, with free public entry reserved through prior registration.

Beyond sport, the festival will provide music sets by DJs, food trucks, hospitality zones and VIP areas, and measures to counter July heat such as shade structures, misting arches, free water and fans. Organisers describe the event as a “360‑degree” sport experience that combines high‑level competition, community participation and cultural entertainment.
