Great Wall Motor expands European presence with new models

Chinese automaker Great Wall Motor (GWM) is expanding its presence in Europe, specifically targeting the Polish and Latvian markets. In Poland, local importer Astana Motors Poland has begun the rollout of the Ora 5 model, with the first units arriving at logistics centers. GWM has already contracted 11 dealers across various Polish cities, including Rzeszów, Lublin, Gdańsk, and Wrocław, with plans to expand the network to 20 sales and service points by the end of the year.

In Latvia, GWM is promoting its plug-in hybrid crossover models, the Wey 03 and Wey 05. The Wey 05 serves as a flagship model featuring three motors and 476 HP, offering an electric range of 146 km. The Wey 03 is a more compact and affordable option, providing over 130 km of electric range. Both models have seen recent price reductions, making them eligible for certain electric vehicle subsidies.
