Great Wall Motor opens Jamaican showroom, launches Europe-focused Ora 5

Great Wall Motor (GWM) opened its first dedicated showroom in Jamaica on June 3, located on South Camp Road in Kingston. The launch, attended by local officials and GWM representatives, follows the brand’s growth to roughly 2,000 vehicles on Jamaican roads and signals a long‑term commitment by Stewart’s Automotive Group to the Caribbean market.

In Europe, GWM announced the upcoming launch of the Ora 5, a compact C‑SUV slated for sale in Spain from June 2026. Designed specifically for European customers, the model features a 1.5‑litre turbo engine (160 hp) with a seven‑speed DCT, a hybrid version (223 hp), and a fully electric variant (204 hp, 58.3 kWh battery, up to 435 km WLTP range). The vehicle targets the dominant C‑SUV segment, offering a 14.6‑inch infotainment screen, digital cockpit, and a spacious interior with 422 litres of luggage capacity. Adjustments for European driving conditions were made in Italy and Spain.
