Great Wall Motor rolls out ORA 5 electric SUV in Italy and Brazil

Great Wall Motor (GWM) introduced the ORA 5 compact C‑SUV in Italy, offering three powertrains – a turbo‑gasoline engine, a full‑hybrid and a fully electric version – with prices starting from €26,950. The model targets Italy’s B‑SUV/C‑SUV segment, which accounted for more than half of all new‑car registrations last year.

In Brazil, GWM opened reservations for a new lot of ORA 5 at the unchanged launch price of R$159,900, adding a new “Quartz Gray” exterior finish and “Urban Gray” interior trim. The first batch of over 2,000 units sold out within 24 hours, and deliveries are expected within 110 days. The Brazilian version features a 204 hp electric motor, a 58.3 kWh battery delivering up to 435 km (WLTP), a 14.6‑inch infotainment screen, OTA software updates, level‑2+ driver‑assistance and Vehicle‑to‑Load (V2L) capability. GWM also confirmed plans for a future manufacturing plant in Espírito Santo to produce ORA models and Haval hybrids.
