Great Wall Motors launches hybrid‑flex Tank 300 SUV in Brazil
Great Wall Motors (GWM) introduced a flex‑fuel hybrid version of its Tank 300 sport‑utility vehicle for the Brazilian market, slated for launch in 2025. The model combines a 2.0‑litre turbocharged gasoline engine with an electric motor, delivering a combined output of 394 hp and 76.5 kg fm of torque, and runs on either gasoline or ethanol. It features a nine‑speed automatic transmission, four‑wheel drive, reduced‑gear gearbox, and multiple terrain modes for mud, sand and rock. Interior equipment includes a 12.3‑inch digital instrument cluster, a 12.3‑inch infotainment screen, heated, ventilated and massage‑function front seats, wireless charging, a sunroof and ambient lighting. Safety systems comprise automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane‑keeping assist, blind‑spot monitoring, traffic‑sign recognition and a 360‑degree camera. GWM aims to compete with established models such as the Toyota SW4, Jeep Wrangler and Land Rover Defender in Brazil’s off‑road‑oriented SUV segment.
