Great Wall Motors launches Spanish operations and Colombian Ora 5 electric model

Great Wall Motors (GWM) announced the official start of its commercial activities in Spain, establishing a wholly‑owned subsidiary with an initial dealer network in Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia and Seville. The company aims to have 50 sales points nationwide by the end of 2026 and will offer a warranty of up to seven years or 150,000 km, backed by its own logistics and spare‑parts centres across Spain and Europe.

In Colombia, GWM introduced the Ora 5 electric hatchback. The vehicle is powered by a 58.33 kWh LFP battery, delivering a claimed range of 520 km (NEDC) or 435 km (WLTP). It produces 201 hp and 260 Nm of torque, accelerating from 0–100 km/h in 7.5 seconds. Safety equipment includes six airbags, ABS/EBD, traction and stability control, and optional ADAS features. Prices are set at COP 75 million for the mid‑level version and COP 90 million for the top trim.
