Great Wall Motors launches versatile ORA 5 SUV in Spain

Chinese automaker Great Wall Motors (GWM) has officially entered the Spanish market with the ORA 5, a compact C‑segment SUV offered with three power‑train options: a 1.5‑litre turbo gasoline engine (160 hp), a hybrid system (223 hp) and a fully electric version (204 hp, 58.3 kWh battery, up to 435 km WLTP range). The model features a 14.6‑inch central touchscreen, a 10.25‑inch digital instrument panel, wireless 50 W charging, and 23 advanced driver‑assistance systems. Prices start at €19,950 for the gasoline trim, €22,350 for the hybrid and €23,850 for the electric version, with a seven‑year/150,000‑km warranty for the vehicle and an eight‑year/160,000‑km warranty for the battery.

GWM’s strategy emphasizes flexibility, aiming to attract buyers across different preferences by providing “all scenarios, all powertrains, all users.” The launch adds to the growing presence of Chinese brands in Spain, joining BYD, MG, Omoda, Jaecoo, Leapmotor and Dongfeng. GWM will support Spanish customers through service centres in the Netherlands and Azuqueca de Henares, Guadalajara.
