Greece 2.0 recovery plan enters final stage of implementation

The Greece 2.0 National Recovery and Resilience Plan is entering its final stages, aiming to complete the absorption of its total 36 billion euro national fund by the end of the year. To date, 24.6 billion euros have been disbursed from the European Union following the fulfillment of 253 milestones and targets.

Based on the recommendations of the Pigrassidis Report, the program has implemented or initiated 83% of the proposed reforms. Key achievements include reducing the VAT gap from 25% to 9%, adding over 500,000 new jobs, and surpassing the European average in digital government services. Other significant impacts include a 50% reduction in the time required for judicial decisions and reaching a 98.83% land registry completion rate.

Through low-interest loans and Recovery and Resilience Facility tools, the program is mobilizing total investments of 46.6 billion euros to transform the Greek economy, public administration, and energy sectors.
