Greece: AADE announces updates for 2026 CAP advance payments

The Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE) has outlined the schedule and procedures for the 2026 Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) advance payments in Greece. Payments will be distributed in two groups based on the submission date of the Single Application for Support.

Applicants who submitted their applications by September 25, 2026, may receive payments by October 31, 2026. Those who submitted between September 26 and October 25, 2026, are scheduled to receive payments by November 30, 2026. Modifications to applications can be made without penalty until November 10, though changes made after October 10 may not be reflected in the October payment cycle.

The advance payments are based on projected amounts per stremma for various categories, including annual crops, permanent crops, and pastures. A potential extension for the submission of 2026 CAP declarations is also being considered to address difficulties regarding Land Registry (KAEEK) identification and discrepancies in land area data. Additionally, updated requirements for circular economy applications in agriculture now include specific soil analysis certificates detailing organic carbon content and cation exchange capacity.
