Greece accelerates 2026 OSDE agricultural subsidy application process
Greek authorities are working to accelerate the submission process for the 2026 Single Application for Support (OSDE). During a joint webinar on October 1, 2026, the Ministry of Rural Development and Food and the Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE) met with representatives from Declaration Reception Centers (KYD) to discuss streamlining procedures and enhancing transparency through new digital tools.
However, technical issues and delays in the submission process have raised concerns. These delays threaten not only the immediate subsidies but also the implementation of Pillar II programs, including support for young farmers, improvement schemes, and advisory services. Representatives from the KYD reported a significant slowdown in the finalization of declarations, noting that the rate of completed applications has dropped from approximately 100 per day to 10.
With the October 16 deadline approaching, there is increasing pressure on the AADE to ensure that the subsequent inspection phase follows the established action plan. Previous reports have highlighted instances of missing or delayed inspections, making strict adherence to the scheduled timeline critical to prevent delays in actual payments to the agricultural sector.
