Greek Armed Forces announce recruitment of 1,000 professional soldiers

The Greek Ministry of National Defence has announced the recruitment of 1,000 Professional Soldiers (EPOP) for 2026. The recruitment process, published via the Supreme Council for Personnel Selection (ASEP), includes a notable addition of 25 positions within the Joint IT Corps, reflecting an increased focus on digital and technological capabilities within the military.

The 1,000 positions are distributed across various branches: 370 for the Hellenic Army, 350 for the Hellenic Navy (including 50 specialized roles in Operations/Communications), 250 for the Hellenic Air Force, 25 for the Joint IT Corps, and 5 for the Joint Legal Corps.

Interested candidates must submit their applications and required documentation electronically through the respective General Staff applications. The deadline for submission is 20 days from the date of publication. For Navy applicants, specific criteria include age limits (born between 2002 and 2007), physical requirements, and athletic performance standards.
