Greece announces Thessaly and Evros tourism voucher programs

Greece has announced the implementation of the ‘Thessaly Pass 2026’ and ‘Evros Pass 2026’ programs to support domestic tourism. These initiatives provide digital holiday vouchers to residents to encourage travel within specific regions.

The Thessaly Pass offers a 200 euro voucher, with 7,500 cards available, while the Evros Pass provides 250 euros, with 1,400 cards available. Applications for both programs will be accepted from September 24 to September 28, 2026. Beneficiaries will be selected via a lottery process following the application period.

Eligible applicants include adult natural persons who are tax residents of Greece based on their 2025 tax returns. Beneficiaries can also include the applicant's spouse or civil partner and adult children declared as dependents. However, individuals already selected for the DYPA Social Tourism program for 2025-2026 or 2026-2027 are ineligible. The National Technological Infrastructure and Research Network (EDYTE) is designated as the implementing body.
