Greece approves 45.3 million euros in livestock compensation

Greek livestock farmers are set to receive a total of 45.3 million euros in compensation by the first half of 2026. This follows the approval of 16.8 million euros to cover income losses sustained by 2,806 holdings due to issues such as foot-and-mouth disease and swine fever.

This recent allocation follows previous payments made in December, which totaled approximately 28.5 million euros for 2,339 holdings regarding income losses for 2025. Further payments are expected for the second half of 2026.
