Greece begins electronic university registration for first-year students
Electronic registration for first-year university students in Greece has commenced, following the completion of the Panhellenic Examinations. The process, managed by the Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports, is scheduled to run from August 27 through September 4, 2026.
Registration is conducted exclusively online via the Ministry's Information System for Electronic Registrations. The procedure applies to successful candidates from the Panhellenic Examinations as well as those admitted through the special category for students with severe medical conditions. Students must use specific credentials, such as their 8-digit candidate code or registered email, to access the platform.
Some users have reported technical difficulties with the platform, specifically regarding the entry of AMKA numbers and communication issues with the social security database (IDIKA). To assist with the transition, school units will provide support for access issues starting September 1, 2026.
