Greece boosts inclusive tourism program and signs bilateral tourism deal with France
The Greek government unveiled the “Tourism for All 2026‑2027” scheme, expanding eligibility to more households, extending the tourist season into winter months and adding targeted support for people with disabilities and large families. Minister of Tourism Olga Kefalogianni described tourism as “a social good and a right that must be accessible to all,” emphasizing the programme’s aim to foster year‑round tourism, especially in mountainous and less‑visited regions, and to allocate 70 % of its budget to the October‑April period.
In parallel, Greece and France signed a bilateral tourism agreement. Kefalogianni and French Minister Serge Papin agreed to cooperate on sustainable tourism, digital transformation, data exchange and innovation, with a focus on supporting startups and balancing visitor flows. The pact is intended to contribute to a new European tourism strategy and strengthen resilience and quality across both nations’ tourism sectors.
