Greece: Defendants face questioning in Marfin arson case

Marfin bank arson investigation terrorism charges Greek judiciary extradition

Two of the three suspects involved in the fatal Marfin bank arson are scheduled to appear before an investigating magistrate on Wednesday. The suspects include a 46-year-old woman, who was extradited from Brighton, England, and one 42-year-old man.

A third suspect, also 42, has been granted a postponement and is expected to testify on Friday, October 23. All three individuals are currently in custody.

The legal proceedings follow an upgraded indictment that now includes charges of homicide in the context of a terrorist act. Additionally, the suspects face charges of attempted mass murder regarding 24 employees who were present at the Marfin branch during the attack.
