Greece Defense Minister Dendias outlines military transformation

Greek Defense Minister Nikos Dendias has emphasized the necessity of transforming the nation's armed forces to effectively protect Greece's sovereignty and sovereign rights under international law. In a daily order issued for the October 28 national anniversary, Dendias noted that adapting to the evolving security environment and rapid technological advancements is a national duty rather than an option.

Dendias visited the Hellenic Aerospace Industry (EAB) to review company programs and anti-drone systems, including the ‘Kentauros’ system. He is also scheduled to travel to Thessaloniki for the national anniversary parade, where he will meet with Cypriot Defense Minister Vassilis Palmas for bilateral discussions. The upcoming military parade is expected to showcase new weaponry, including Stryker vehicles, PULS and BARAK systems, various unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), and C-390 transport aircraft.
