Greece expands tourism subsidy, offering up to €600 per household
The Greek government has relaunched the "Tourism for All" programme for 2026‑2027, providing digital vouchers of €200‑€600 to support domestic travel. New income thresholds raise eligibility for married couples without children to €21,000 and €33,000 respectively, and for larger families to €58,000. The scheme also removes income limits for people with a disability rating of 67 % or higher and for families with children with disabilities, adding an extra €50 per child from the fourth child onward.
Applications will be accepted online via gov.gr or vouchers.gov.gr starting August 2026, with assistance available at local citizen service centres. A lottery will allocate funds, giving higher vouchers to trips scheduled between October and April to boost off‑season tourism. The programme runs in two phases, ending 30 June 2027 for the first phase and 31 December 2027 for the second, with 70 % of the budget earmarked for the off‑peak period and linked to the “Mountain Greece” initiative to promote less‑visited destinations.
