Hellenic Armed Forces extend Professional Soldier applications to September 30

The Hellenic National Defense General Staff has extended the deadline for submitting supporting documents for the 2026 recruitment of Professional Soldiers (EP.OP.) until September 30, 2026. The extension aims to provide more time for candidates to complete their applications following difficulties caused by the recruitment period overlapping with the August holiday season.

The recruitment drive covers a total of 1,000 positions distributed across various branches and corps:

• Hellenic Army: 370 positions • Hellenic Navy: 350 positions (including 300 general positions and 50 specifically for stations and observatories) • Hellenic Air Force: 250 positions • Joint Legal Corps: 5 positions • Joint Informatics Corps: 25 positions

Authorities noted that the number of applications already submitted has exceeded the available positions. However, they clarified that this surplus refers to the number of applicants and not necessarily the number of qualified candidates, as document verification, medical examinations, and athletic tests are still pending.
