Greece has reached a major milestone with the conclusion of the implementation phase of the Recovery and Resilience Facility through the 'Greece 2.0' national plan. Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis reported that the 36 billion euro program, funded by European resources, has significantly exceeded its initial economic targets. Key achievements cited include a real GDP increase of 11 percentage points, compared to a 7% forecast, and the creation of approximately 550,000 new jobs, far surpassing the projected 180,000.

The program also drove extensive digitalization and structural reforms. This includes connecting nearly 500,000 cash registers to POS systems to combat tax evasion, the implementation of the Digital Labor Card to track overtime, and advancements in digital health and government services. In the energy sector, investments in renewables have transitioned Greece from a net importer to a net exporter of electricity.

Additionally, the AntiNERO program, a 667 million euro initiative under the Recovery Fund, has concluded its current cycle. The program successfully cleared 1.1 million stremmata of forest land of accumulated biomass to prevent wildfires and maintained thousands of kilometers of forest roads. While the current implementation cycle ends, the government emphasizes that the modernization process is ongoing with a focus on the 2030 horizon.
