Greece Health Minister announces lawsuits against illegal dietitians
Greek Health Minister Adonis Georgiadis has announced that the Association of Dietitians-Nutritionists filed 11 lawsuits last week regarding the illegal practice of the profession. These legal actions include two cases involving unauthorized physical offices and nine cases involving the illegal practice of dietetics through social media platforms.
In addition to the lawsuits, 36 further reports submitted via the Association's official reporting platform are currently under investigation. Georgiadis noted that legislation passed in May 2025 established an official professional body for dietitians and nutritionists, providing the legal tools necessary to combat unauthorized practice and ensure public health protection.
