Epirus healthcare facilities inaugurated by Greek Health Minister

Greek Health Minister Adonis Georgiadis visited the Epirus region to inaugurate several upgraded healthcare facilities funded by the Recovery and Resilience Facility.

Key projects include the complete renovation of the Metsovo Health Center, which underwent energy and functional upgrades with a budget of approximately 1.06 million euros. Additionally, the Ioannina General Hospital ‘G. Chatzikostas’ inaugurated a new Emergency Department (ED). This project, costing nearly 985,000 euros, involved modernizing infrastructure and introducing advanced equipment to improve patient flow and reduce waiting times.

The Minister credited the successful completion of these projects to the close cooperation between the Ministry of Health and the Epirus Region, specifically praising Regional Governor Alexandros Kachimanis for providing technical services that helped meet strict deadlines.
