Greece hosts archaeological programs and Patmos Chamber Music Festival
Various cultural and archaeological events are scheduled across Greece. In Pieria, the Ephorate of Antiquities is hosting activities at the Dion Archaeological Museum focusing on the role of wind in Greek literature, mythology, and music, including presentations on ancient wind instruments and the hydraulis of Dion.
Additionally, the Leivithra Experiential Park will host guided tours centered on Mycenaean architecture and the influence of wind on ancient structures and viticulture. Programs include storytelling, a grape pressing workshop, and artistic workshops.
In Patmos, the Patmos Chamber Music Festival will take place from August 24 to 30, 2026. The festival features ten concerts held in historic churches and buildings, including the Church of Panagia Diasousa. The program includes performances by international musicians, documentary screenings, and seminars, with highlights such as Bach’s Goldberg Variations arranged for two guitars and a finale featuring the Brussels Chamber Orchestra.
