Greece inaugurates new health center in Psara with staff housing

Greek Health Minister Adonis Georgiadis has inaugurated a new health center on the island of Psara. To address chronic staffing shortages, the facility includes fully equipped residential housing with sea views specifically for doctors and nurses.

The Minister described the project as a way for Greece to repay a symbolic historical debt to the residents of Psara by ensuring stable, high-quality medical care in the remote area. The initiative was carried out in cooperation with the Mayor of Psara.

This inauguration follows a multi-day tour of regional health facilities. The Minister also visited the Aliveri Health Center and inaugurated the fully renovated Kyma General Hospital in Evia.
