Greece issues new treasury bills with tax-free returns

The Greek state has issued new 26-week treasury bills with a yield of 2.64%, which is an increase from the 2.58% yield seen in the previous issuance in late September. Investors who commit funds between €1,000 and €15,000 can secure these terms by applying through a bank or brokerage firm by Thursday, October 22.

A key feature of this issuance is that interest earned will be tax-free if the bills are held until their maturity in April 2027. For a maximum single commitment of €15,000, the net interest earned would be approximately €197.25.
