Greek Land Services have conducted a series of inspections across several regions to combat illegal occupation of coastal areas and beaches. According to the Ministry of National Economy and Finance, these measures include heavy fines, sealing orders, and immediate removal orders for businesses operating without legal permits.

In Rhodes, five canteens at Tsampika beach were fined 174,000 euros and ordered to be sealed. Additionally, a business at Anthony Quinn Bay in Faliraki received a 37,000 euro fine and an immediate removal order following inspections triggered by a formal complaint.

Other significant enforcement actions include:

• Kavala: A business operating without a lease agreement was fined 28,889 euros and ordered to be removed. • Skiathos: Four businesses were fined a total of approximately 44,000 euros. • Corfu: Out of 14 inspected businesses, eight were fined a total of 107,665 euros, alongside sealing and removal orders.

The Ministry stated that these actions demonstrate a commitment to upholding legality and protecting public property.
