Greece launches international partnership to prevent child sexual abuse

A three-year international partnership has been established to prevent and address child sexual abuse in Greece. The initiative was launched through a Memorandum of Understanding signed by Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences, the Eastern Mediterranean University (ELMEPA), the John Jay College of Criminal Justice at the City University of New York (CUNY), and the urban non-profit organization ‘To Tharos’.

The collaboration aims to bridge the Greek academic and research community with international scientific expertise and civil society. Over the next three years, the four entities will develop joint research and educational initiatives designed to translate scientific knowledge into practical actions for the prevention, support, and protection of children. The official launch took place on September 28 at Panteion University.
