Greece launches Registry of Revoked Administrative Acts
Greece has launched the Registry of Revoked Administrative Acts to enhance oversight and ensure the reliability of administrative processes. The new system supports a framework where citizens and businesses can replace official documents with solemn declarations, aiming to simplify public services.
Through the gov.gr platform, individuals and legal entities can be notified of any relevant entries. Public authorities will use this unified mechanism to verify information when examining new requests. If a solemn declaration is found to contain inaccurate data, the relevant authority will revoke the administrative act issued based on that information.
Authorized officials will record details of the revoked act, the revoking act, and any administrative fines or cost charges in the registry. Before issuing new administrative acts, authorities are required to check the registry for any prior revocations related to the applicant. This initiative is part of Law 5293/2026, aimed at creating a more citizen-friendly state.
