Greek MyStreet platform adds accessibility registry and EV charger data

The MyStreet digital platform, originally created to monitor the use of shared public spaces, is being upgraded into a broader digital infrastructure for managing public space. Under the new AI Act law, a national Electronic Registry of Accessibility Points for persons with disabilities is being set up by the Ministry of Digital Governance and Artificial Intelligence. The registry will be linked to MyStreet and the National Road Safety Observatory, allowing municipalities to record wheelchair parking spots, ramps, building entrances and pedestrian crossings across Greece.

The platform will also provide real‑time information on public electric‑vehicle charging stations, supporting sustainable mobility. Minister Dimitris Papastergiou said the system “captures the essence of digital transformation: technology returns as a tangible social benefit and protects the public space.” The integrated data is expected to simplify daily life for thousands of citizens with disabilities and improve overall city functionality.
