Greece mandates new specifications for vehicle first aid kits
The Hellenic Red Cross has issued guidance regarding the mandatory first aid kits required for all motor vehicles operating in Greece, excluding two-wheeled vehicles. Following new regulations, the technical specifications and required contents of these kits have been redefined.
According to the decision, first aid kits must be stored in an easily and immediately accessible location within the vehicle. They must not be locked, nor should they contain any items other than bandages and pharmaceutical supplies. Vehicle owners and drivers are responsible for ensuring that pharmaceutical materials are renewed regularly, especially during the summer months, and must not exceed a two-year expiration period.
Failure to comply with these requirements will result in penalties under the provisions of the Highway Code.
