Greece Ministry of Education announces teacher transfers and recruitment

The Greek Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports has announced several administrative updates regarding educational staffing for the 2026-2027 school year.

Applications are open for secondary education teachers specializing in Special Education and Training (E.A.E.) to apply for temporary substitute positions within the Public Onassis Schools. Eligible candidates, including philologists, mathematicians, and natural scientists, must submit their preferences via the Integrated Information System for Personnel Management (OPSYD) between August 21 and August 31, 2026.

Additionally, the Ministry has published official decisions regarding the transfer of primary and secondary school teachers, as well as Special Assistant Personnel (EVP), into Special Educational Personnel (EEP) roles. These transfers, finalized through ministerial decisions published in the Government Gazette, aim to fill organic vacancies and ensure a smooth start to the upcoming academic year. The transfers cover various disciplines, including theology, languages, sciences, and physical education, and include placements within KEDASY.
