Greece offers ferry discounts for newly appointed teachers

A joint initiative by the Greek Ministries of Education and Maritime Affairs is providing ferry ticket discounts of up to 50% for newly appointed primary and secondary school teachers. The program is designed to assist educators in traveling to their new placements for the 2026-2027 school year.

Most discounts are valid for travel between August 23, 2026, and September 11, 2026. Participating companies include:

• SEAJETS: 50% discount on individual and vehicle tickets, available exclusively through partner agencies rather than online. • Levante Ferries Group: 50% discount on passenger and vehicle tickets. • Saronic Ferries: 30% discount for passengers only, excluding vehicles. • Skyros Shipping Co.: 30% discount on individual and vehicle tickets for non-subsidized routes. • Goutos Lines: 50% discount on individual and vehicle tickets. • Fast Ferries: 30% discount on individual tickets and 20% on vehicle tickets, issued via central port offices. • Golden Star Ferries: 30% discount on individual tickets.
