Greece opens applications for 30 vocational training schools
Applications are open for the 2026-2027 academic year for the 30 Higher Vocational Training Schools (SAEK) operated by DYPA in Greece. The program offers 46 different specialties designed to meet current labor market demands. Eligible applicants include holders of General or Vocational Lyceum diplomas, regardless of age.
Training consists of 1,200 hours of theoretical and laboratory instruction followed by a six-month paid internship of 960 hours. Upon completion, graduates receive a Level 5 Professional Specialty Diploma recognized within Greece and the European Union. Applications must be submitted electronically via the gov.gr portal by September 11, 2026.
Specifically, the SAEK Mesolonghi has announced seven new specialties for its first semester, including Early Childhood Educator, Ambulance Crew/Rescuer, Pharmacy Assistant, and Renewable Energy Technician. The school also offers opportunities for Erasmus+ mobility programs and provides benefits such as military service deferment and housing allowances for eligible students.
