Greece launches over 11,000 permanent public‑sector hires
The Hellenic Public Employment Service (ΑΣΕΠ) announced more than 11,000 permanent positions covering a wide range of educational levels, including 51 posts under the 5Κ/2026 call, 315 under 6Κ/2026, and 3,265 secondary‑education posts under the 7Κ/2026 call. The Athens Metro operator STASY opened applications for 21 permanent jobs – 14 station masters and 7 ticket‑seller agents – with eligibility limited to Greek or EU citizens born in 2005 or earlier and holding at least a secondary‑school diploma. Submissions are accepted electronically via the STASY portal from 27 July to 10 August 2026.
The Directorate of Vocational Training (ΔΥΠΑ) began accepting online applications for admission to 30 vocational schools for the 2026‑27 academic year. Prospective students can choose among 46 specialties across health, tourism, hospitality and other sectors, with a deadline of 11 September 2026.
The Greek Fire Service Academy in Ptolemaida advertised twelve eight‑month contracts for secondary‑school graduates to work as kitchen and catering staff in the fire‑fighter school, with applications due by 31 July 2026.
