Greece opens applications for disability personal assistant program

The application platform for the ‘Personal Assistant for Persons with Disabilities’ program has opened. Interested individuals can submit applications through the official electronic platform until November 27.

The program is designed to enhance autonomy and independent living by providing customized support tailored to the specific needs, living conditions, and preferences of the beneficiaries. A key feature of the initiative is that the person with a disability has the right to select their own personal assistant.

Eligibility extends to individuals with motor, intellectual, developmental, sensory, or mental disabilities. Financial assistance amounts are determined through individualized assessments and range from 416 euros to 939 euros, depending on the specific category and level of need.
