DYPA announces vocational training and apprenticeship deadlines

The Greek Public Employment Service (DYPA) has announced several deadlines and opportunities for vocational training for the 2026-2027 academic year.

Applications are open for apprenticeships in seven Experimental Professional Vocational Schools (PEPAS) focusing on the tourism and hospitality sectors. The available specialties include hotel receptionists, culinary technicians, and food service technicians. The application deadline is Sunday, September 20, 2026, at 23:59. Eligible candidates must be at least 18 years old with a middle school diploma or equivalent. For the receptionist role, a B2 level proficiency in English, French, or German is required. The program utilizes a dual education system, combining theoretical training from November to April with paid on-the-job training in 4 and 5-star hotels from May to October. Apprentices receive a daily wage equal to 95% of the minimum wage, a monthly housing allowance of €240, and a daily meal allowance of €9.

Additionally, successful candidates for the Higher Vocational Training Schools (SAEK) must complete their registration by September 10, 2026. Registration requires submitting various documents, such as diplomas, identity documents, and social security information, either in person or electronically.
