Greece outlines payment process for young farmers' subsidies

The Greek government has published the official decision outlining the payment process for the second installment of the ‘Establishment of Young Farmers’ intervention. This measure is part of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) Strategic Plan 2023-2027 and pertains to the obligations under the Rural Development Program 2014-2022.

The funding is co-financed by national and European Union resources through the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development. The second and final payment must be made no later than five years from the initial integration decision.

To receive the support, beneficiaries must submit a standardized payment request through the State Aid Information System (PSKE). These requests are then transferred to the Integrated Information System of the Common Agricultural Policy (OPSKAP). The process includes administrative checks to verify the legality, regularity, and traceability of payments, as well as cross-checks against available databases to ensure the accuracy of the submitted data.
