Greece prepares home renovation subsidies of up to €36,000
The second phase of the ‘Home Renovation’ program in Greece is approaching, offering financial assistance of up to €36,000 per property. The subsidies can cover up to 95% of eligible expenses, with a maximum limit of €300 per square meter.
Minister of Social Cohesion and Family Domna Michailidou announced that the activation of this phase is expected soon, in coordination with Deputy Minister of National Economy and Finance Nikos Papathanasi. Currently, 94,000 owners have secured pre-approvals. This group includes 14,000 owners of vacant homes and 80,000 owners of properties currently in use.
The program will prioritize owners of vacant homes to encourage the utilization of available housing stock. For properties already in use, inclusion will depend on income criteria and the availability of funds.
