Greece reopens child benefit application platform for 2026

The Greek Organisation for Social Welfare Benefits (OPEKA) announced that the third round of applications for the A21 child benefit for 2026 has closed. During this phase, 601,295 applications were received, of which 497,753 were approved, 99,523 were rejected for not meeting eligibility criteria, and 4,019 remain under further review. The approved applications correspond to 856,159 children.

The electronic application platform will be reactivated on 31 July 2026 at 08:00 for new submissions or modifications of existing applications. Applicants must finalise and receive approval for their request; any partially saved applications are considered unsubmitted and will not be taken into account.
