HEDNO announces planned power outages across multiple Greek regions

The Hellenic Electricity Distribution Network Operator (HEDNO) has announced a series of planned power outages across several Greek regions to facilitate essential maintenance, network reinforcement, and upgrades.

Affected areas include parts of Attica, such as Athens, Ano Liosia, Perama, Saronikos, Megara, and Kallithea. Other regions scheduled for outages include Crete (specifically Heraklion, Malevizi, and Archanes-Asterousia), Phthiotis, Trikala, and Imathia. These interruptions are intended to ensure long-term grid reliability and prevent sudden failures during periods of high consumption.

Separately, in Lamia, the Municipal Water and Sewage Company (DEYAL) has begun implementing a new regulation to reduce overdue debts. This involves the interruption of water supplies to consumers who have two or more unpaid and overdue bills. The measure aims to prevent the accumulation of debt and ensure the financial stability of the utility service.
